Ive been hearing rumors that the anime coming back has been teased if it does, do you think theyll change the end game pairings Nah, if the anime ever does return they’re not going to change something as major as that. What do you think about the new claims that Orihime resembles Kanae more than she does Masaki and that Rukia is the one whos like Masaki? People have been saying that since the chapters with Masaki’s backstory were first released. Both sides recognized that Masaki resembling either Rukia or Orihime could be seen as Kubo giving a nod to their ship, so both the IR and IH tags were flooded at the time grasping at straws to prove that Rukia and Masaki were similar and that Orihime didn’t resemble Masaki at all…until of course IH resembling Uryu’s mom and then ending up with Uryu). The “mother complex” thing never came up until they thought it could be applied When the chapter came out where Masaki is at the dinner table and we got to see how bubbly her personality is, IH shippers pointed out the similarities to Orihime, while I remember some antis were insistent that she was “faking” that personality in front of the Ishida’s and that we IH shippers were going to be sooo disappointed when her “true personality” was revealed to be more like Rukia’s in the following chapters…But nope lmao. She was still just as bubbly and reminiscent of Orihime.  Anyway, this argument didn’t make sense back then, and it definitely doesn’t make sense now (especially considering it was literally pointed out that Orihime resembles Masaki in the novel lmao). The only similarity between Rukia and Masaki at the time was the short hair, while Orihime is similar to Masaki in both looks and personality. And it has nothing to do with a “mother complex.” It’s not at all Did you ever have any doubts whether ichihime would become canon ? #i mean the only question was whether kubo would solidify any romantic couples in canon in the end
