There will be lots of new content taught and many challenges ahead of the students this year. This is why the focus of my clas*room will always be to strive for improvement. The best measure of a student is a comparison to what they could do on their last attempt. I will use a variety of methods in clas* to engage students in the exploration of our content this year, and they will grow as scientist and citizens. Look below for general clas*room information and Although we have 4 clas*room rules and a multitude of procedures I try to make it clear to students that all of it can be summed up in four simple words. Be nice. Work hard. If they do those things it will set the foundation for a great year and continued success in life.  SUPPORTING IMPROVEMENT Students are able to retake any quiz from clas* up to two times, but FIRST they must must make corrections and have the quiz signed. Then they will use the signed corrections to retake the quiz during homework room time. Gradebook will be updated to reflect the score earned on the retake. Unit tests will are the exception, and in place of a retake, students may choose to complete a project to replace a unit test score. Students will have one week after their unit test is returned to complete the AS*IGNED project. ​Some as*ignments may be redone  as well and some as*ignments will require corrections to be made in order to receive credit.
