we are an 87-year-old independent external examination body for accredited business qualifications in southern africa. our role is to create pathways for students to obtain valuable business studies skills for employment that are endorsed by credible as an appointed quality as*urance partner for qcto (quality council for trades and occupations), we are authorized to conduct examinations on a number of registered qualifications that are on the nqf (national qualifications framework). all our training providers are accredited colleges who are registered with dhet (department of education and higher training). these colleges offer anything from accounting courses and bookkeeping courses to business management courses. we have broken our qualifications down into subjects, which are entered and examined individually. the icb provides a (poe) portfolio the icb is not a training provider or a college, which means we do not provide tuition, support or study material. we only do external as*essment. students first register with their training provider, and then register with the icb to receive their poe. this poe includes 3 as*ignments and 2 tests and is completed by the student during their study phase. each poe is submitted and as*essed once a student has pas*ed all subjects in a qualification, the qualification is awarded by the icb and fas*et.. we can proudly say that we have successfully graduated more than 25 000 students over the last 5 years! watch this short video to find out who we are and what we do. discover which accredited business qualification is right for you and what subjects to start with. are you a full time student, working and want to study part time, or  study online via a distance learning college? find an accredited college with clas*room tuition or a distance college for correspondence learning. registration and exam enrollment – what steps to follow and how a poe and the final exam works. want to be able to offer indispensable bookkeeping and accounting skills, or become an accountant someday?  the financial accounting
