Joshcamacho.net Website Review

My name is Josh Camacho. I am a web developer with a background in server-side programming. When I'm not refactoring my website, I'm probably tweeting in my bedroom. Please note that .net is not yet part of my legal name. I enjoy creativity more than anything else, be it in the form of writing fiction or developing websites. New ideas sprout from old I've been involved in information technology since my first Notepad websites in seventh grade. I love the idea of using technology to empower individuals via self-sustainability; likewise, actualizing the inherent democracy of information through concepts such as mas* digitization, the Creative Commons, and open-source software serves as my ultimate goal. Knowledge should be free. I'm keeping a running list of all the books that have left a substantial impact on me. Click here to see it. This site is using a handful of technologies, none of which will be relevant in a few weeks given the pace of my field. These frameworks include -- but are not limited to -- Node.js, AJAX, MongoDB, Semantic UI, Express, EJS, jQuery, MongoLab, and about a dozen other Node modules. To write the code, I use an online IDE called Cloud9. This site is hosted via Heroku and maintained using Git, and much of this site was built using online tutorials by developers such as Colt Steele and Bucky Roberts.
