the mississippi department of education has released the official accountability ratings for schools and districts across the state.. ocean springs school district (ossd) received an “a” rating, maintaining its position as one of the top districts in the state. the. district increased its state ranking to #3 in the state.  we are also proud that the vast majority of our schools are now rated as a schools. and student achievement continues to rise in the greyhound nation!  . mississippi’s a-f grading system measures overall student performance and their progress from year to year, graduation rates,. and college and career readiness. ossd superintendent dr. bonita coleman stated,  for the fifth consecutive year, our students,. teachers, staff, and administrators earned an “a” rating through their dedication to high-quality instruction and are to be commended.. we are indeed fortunate to have incredibly talented educators who faithfully serve our students on a daily basis.”. congratulations to our coaches, athletes and school community on a banner year! usa today ranked oshs #1 in the state and gave it a rating of silver!! ossd police department now has a tip line in addition to the safe to speak online bully reporting tool! ocean springs © 2017. all rights reserved. ocean springs school district
