DLNA, Samsung, TV, Phone, LN32B650, SGH-i897, SGH-i337, Linux And Windows how to view movies from my dlna capable tv from my wired network server? First off wired or wireless shouldn’t make a difference. I think for some reason some docu*ents say you have to use wireless to get DLNA working, which at least for Samsung, isn’t true. I think the easiest answer is to install a DLNA server on the machine that has the video content, like Samsung PC Share Manager. There are others, so it that doesn’t work on what ever brand of TV you have, you try those. Well, what to say about this. Yup, limits like supported codec, screen size, file formats, for video and audio. Not sure what the story is for images, not something I’ve tried but it seems like JPG, JPG and JPG in that area. I put a guide in the do*nload area, check that out I’ve noticed this running DLNA. Of course my TV isn’t really supposed to support it, but with the service menu tweak, well it does. So could have to do with that, or maybe just codec limits. Regardless everyone in while my TV will lock up trying to display something, video only so far, and after what seems like an eternity, probably 2 minutes or so. It will shutdown and restart on it’s own. It will be showing the standard TV turner, so I’ll have to get back to the DLNA. Anyway, no harm, just a bit annoying. Not sure what is meant here, but if the idea to remove a DLNA entry from the listing on the actual TV, well then here’s a thought. If you are using PCSM, then go to the pull down that says “Share” and select “Set Device Policy”. By changing the value from ACCEPT to DENY, the entry should be removed from the TV’s listing. If you are using something else, then you’ll have to find similar functionality in it or use firewall software to block the TV accessing the system hosting the DLNA server. the DLNA specific is not well defined. This no doubt explains the inconsistent behavior. Anyway, if you have specifics I am sure other would like to hear what you encountering.
