I've always feared that web-based video would suffer a similar fate to that of RSS, when websites became reliant upon a thin layer of duplicate content on their sites. Yes, that has certainly been the situation for quite a while. It's why I finally gave up hope on RSS two years ago. One of the reasons for that was the cognitive load caused by browsers so inexperienced with web pages. Now, browsers have achieved such advanced flexibility that they're able to handle so much more content at the same time than I previously was able to. A speedy web browser that does a better job of implementing safe navigation makes a huge difference when it comes to engaging with media and channels with unreliable or disorientating navigation. Yet, those aren't what the latest update to Navbar.js is designed to fix. Thanks to a last minute masterstroke by The Bundle, however, my fears have been allayed: the issues that I always feared wouldn't be fixed are now fixed.
